The pearl of Southern Burgenland

Former Granarium

The former granarium was located at Clusiusweg 5 in Güssing and is a listed building (ObjectID: 28856).

On the ground floor of the granary was a dairy leased by Josef Farkas (from Count Draskovich) from 1932 until its liquidation by the Nazis in March 1938.

A granary, also known as a granary, granary, grain box or granarium, is a storage building mainly for grain or seeds. There are many structural variants and local designations (for example Bavarian-Austrian Troadkastn, in parts of Austria "Schüttkasten" and "Traidkasten").
